8vo; [16], 64, 438 [i.e.400] p. pages; Contemporary calf. 22 x 16 cm. Boards blind tooled. Small chip lacking at head of spine. Red leather gilt spine label is quite bright and is complete. Rest of spine and extremities are rubbed. Front joint glued unprofessionally and though the hinge is cracked the front board is still holding tightly. Yale College Library bookplate marked "1877" in ink and "dup" pencilled in the mid 20th Century. Last blank has tiny remains of date due slip. Also contained in this volume is "Via media. The way of peace in the five busy articles commonly known by the name of Arminius" (p. [351]-388, ie. [313]-350) has special title page. Wing H-402. WorldCat states that only 13 libraries worldwide own this copy.
