Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences: a statistical account of the towns and parishes in the State of Connecticut; v.1, no.1. Preface by Simeon Baldwin. Contains errata page at end. Inscribed as follows: "For Wm. Shaw from his Friend Wm. Hillhouse 1811". The latter was the father of James Hillhouse (U. S. Senator from Conn. ) . He was a delegate to the Continental Congress from Conn. Trimmed at the upper margin, not affecting text. Still leaving an ample 3/4" of margin. Disbound, having been removed from a bound volume of pamphlets. Lacking the original printed blue-gray stiffened wrappers and the front and rear flyleaves.
