Autumn is my favorite season, and I never tire of the smell of burning leaves. I was in California in October - speaking at the University of Los Angeles and then at Scripps College, thriving hedges, flowers oleanders, roses, lemon verbena in that part of the world! Perhaps you have been there. Thank you for the thoughts and the greeting; and for the World of Woodcut - (I am very dull, not greeting anybody. ) It is all the more a pleasure to be thinking of you and Peter. Am glad you liked my Tior(? ) and am encouraged that you see something in Like A Bulwark. Could you make some corrections for me? : p. 19 line 8 for Solidad, - Soledad 20 for " Soledad 21 " " 27 Bonfflers' Bonffler's - (I think) [and she askes Holly to make several other corrections to the typos] ...I don't suppose you will ever do it but let me know if you would like to take anything I write : ; (what I write that gets printed, hereafter). I would like to give it to you. You are working I suppose? I do hope you and Peter will have a good winter -, and, that your mother is outgrowing her handicap. Affectionately, Marianne m.
