8vo; 4 p. l., 3-619, 3 blank pages; Original decorated sand cloth. Top edges stained light orange. Foredge shows three ever-so-tiny specks. "Battle Hymn of the Republic" music on endpapers. "First published in April 1939." on copyright page. "$2.75 and FIRST EDITION" on front flap. "Jacket illustration by Elmer Hader". Cloth binding has no wear at all. Pictorial jacket shows wear at the top of the spine panel. Slight wear to rear fold and a 1/4" closed tear at the bottom of that fold. A 1/2" closed tear to the rear blurb fold. Two tiny spots on rear blank pages.
